A Global Presence
ICRISAT is headquartered in Hyderabad, India where it maintains the world’s largest research facility dedicated entirely to crop and environmental research for the semi-arid tropics. Its high-tech labs and facilities provide a base for a global research-for-development program that supports the work of thousands of people working in public sector agencies, civil society and, increasingly, in the private sector.
ICRISAT also conducts its research through two regional hubs and country offices in sub-Saharan Africa. The hub in West and Central Africa is located in Bamako (Mali), with country offices in Niamey (Niger) and Kano (Nigeria). The hub in Eastern and Southern Africa is located in Nairobi (Kenya) with country offices in Lilongwe (Malawi), Bulawayo (Zimbabwe) and Maputo (Mozambique).
